Since Covid lockdown restrictions have been lifted we have had a fantastic run with our horses that have run.
First Quest has totally recovered from his serious injury, he has got his confidence back. He has run 7 times since April, winning at Cartmel & Wincanton, finishing a close second at Chepstow & Newton Abbot, third at Exeter and fourth at Warwick. He finished 6th on his other run at Southwell, but there were only 2 hurdles to jump due to the setting sun and this did not suit his run style. He is now having a well earned break as he doesn't perform well on soft going. He will come back early January and be ready for a Spring/Summer campaign.
Caroline's Charm has had 7 runs winning at Fontwell on his first run back. He pulled up on his next 2 runs when he made a mistake at a couple of fences, which interrupted his rhythm and breathing. He then finished second at Worcester & Exeter, then on his last run at Newbury finished a fast finishing fourth at Newbury. He will now have a break and come back into training in January.
Agent Saonois our recent purchase, has run three times for us to get a handicap mark and on his last run finishing third in a very competitive novice hurdle at Wincanton. He has now got handicap marks of 60 on the flat and 77 over hurdles. He is a good ground horse, like the others he will have a short break and come back into training in January. All his jockeys and work riders believe he will be and exciting prospect next year.
Glenview Beauty continues to please all at Conkwell, she is working well on the gallops, she has a lovely long stride. She is young and still growing, Neil will take her for a racecourse gallop in the next few weeks. If all goes according to plan she will then start off in bumpers (NH flat races).
Ann's Emerald Reel has settled into her new surroundings at Will Biddicks, she is cantering away nicely on the flat and round gallops. I will give a further report on her after I have seen her next week.
