We went to Newton Abbot full of confidence that Agent Saonois
& First Quest would perform well as they were both working very well at home. Neil was very disappointed with their performances. He thought that the course and hurdles may not have suited the horse after a serious mistake at the 1st and he may have pulled a muscle. He will be checked out at home to see if they can find any problems.
All being well he wants to run him again at Worcester on Sunday, 19th June, where the jumps are brush hurdles,( small fences), before considering going over chase fences. The horse jumps very well and Sam believes it may be worth going chasing with him.
First Quest has won his races at 2 mile - 2 mile 1, Neil believes he may be getting slower with age and he will step him up in distance for his next run.
