Mr Freedom had his first day at school over hurdles at Fontwell on Thursday, after the mayhem at the first hurdle with 2 runners unseating, Marc sat tight and let him settle, he got his act together after the 3rd and then ran a very promising race thereafter, coming through to 3rd place on the turn in where he stayed until the line. The first and second had the benefit of previous races where they had learned a lot and Mr Freedom will show similar improvement in his next run over hurdles which is likely to be at Plumpton on the 18th September.
He has come out of the race very well and he will continue his education on the gallops and over obstacles at home.
Only 3 shares at a bargain price of £500 for each 10% share are left in this promising young fun horse by successful sire Sixties Icon (GB) out of Waitingforachance (GB) by Sayif (IRE).
We bought the horse from Sheena West knowing it was ready to run, it will go on any ground so there will be frequent days out racing.
Sheena was our first trainer when we set up The Affordable Partnership and we had 29 horses in the winners enclosure with her (7-1st, 7-2nd, 7-3rd and 8-4th).
A good start with Mr Freedom in the prize money on his first run for us.
