Lingfield
First Quest has been ready to run for several weeks, but, with NH meetings being abandoned due to weather conditions, it was decided to give him a run on the AW at Lingfield yesterday and he didn't disgrace himself.. Neil and his jockey thought he ran a very good race, the distance was on the short side and he had a bad draw in stall 10. He travelled well, he quickened with the others and was running on at the end finishing only 6 lengths behind the winner. He was hardly blowing after the race so it will put him spot on for his next run.
Neil has made a couple of provisional entries for him over hurdles, on 12.2.21 at Bangor-on-Dee and Wetherby on 23.2.21. Hopefully the ground will dry out soon, if not he will run on the flat in a AW NH bumper (Added to the programme by BHA to get NH horses to the races) or another handicap on the flat over further.
Test Ride is ready for another run and he has provisional entries at Lingfield on 6.2.21 and Wolverhampton on 8..2.21. He has to have another 2 runs to get a handicap mark on the flat and we can then decide what his future will be.
Angela's Hope is now back in full training cantering on the flat and hill gallops, fingers crossed she makes it to the races before the end of the NH season.
Ann's Emerald Reel is making good progress on the flat and hill gallops and is schooling well in the capable hands of Millie Wonnacott who rides her most days.
Glenview Beauty is now in full training at the Main Yard, early days but she is doing all that is asked of her.
Caroline's Charm returns from her break on Monday, he is looking very well, hopefully another fantastic season for him.
During Covid restrictions, Neil regularly puts videos of our horses on The Racing Manager site.
Covid vaccinations are going well for our aging owners
Stay well and keep safe.
Best wishes. Stan
