Stable News and a couple of entries

Peltwell Records Two Wins In Two Days It is fair to say that Peltwell has been in a pretty rich run of form. After winning at Wetherby at the end of March, she headed up to Newcastle a week later where she made it three wins from three races with Danny McMenamin on board. Having bounced out of the race really well, she stayed up in the North East and ran again 24 hours later at Hexham, this time under a ride from Shane Quinlan and she won again! It is always nice when the yard has two wins in two days, but it is pretty unusual for those two wins to come from the same horse! Peltwell’s great two-day road trip coinciding with things opening up a bit and it has been great that many owners that have not seen their horses for several months have had the opportunity to visit the yard to do so. Owners are also back on the racecourse when they have a runner and hopefully, if all goes well in the coming weeks we will start to see some spectators back on course as well. April started well when Mont Saint Vincent won at FFos Las in a maiden hurdle ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies and he (Mont Saint Vincent not Sam!) looks to be another nice young hurdler. It was great also to see Molly Carew stay on gamely up the Haydock straight earlier this month to win a class two handicap and earn a bonus for her owner. She has been a really consistent mare and deserved this success under a positive ride from Tom Scudamore who sent her to the front early in the home straight. The was another winner for the yard this week when Sam Twiston-Davies and Exelerator Express won at Huntingdon, battling well to hold on for the win. The winter jumps season is coming to a close, but there will still be several horses staying in training for summer jumping. Before the formal season end though there are still a couple of big races including the big finale meeting at Sandown next weekend and hopefully there will be more runners and winners from the yard before the season closes.

First Quest has been entered at Chepstow next Friday, the 23rd. The race is a 0-110 Handicap Hurdle over a distance of 2 miles. Declarations take place on Wednesday.

Test Ride has a provisional entry at Salisbury on Sunday, 25th. The race is 45-65 Handicap on the flat. Confirmed entries take place on Monday.
