Update 0n Horses

Updated: May 18, 2021

I went down to the stables this morning, the sun had gone, rain had arrived and the wind was blowing , nevertheless it was very enjoyable. With the exception of Angela's Hope and Ann's Emerald Reel, all our horses went up the hill gallop. Angela's Hope was very settled in her box recovering from her stress fracture. She will box rest for a month or two, then go out in the paddocks for the summer. She will be re-examine by the Vet after four months. If all goes well she will be back in training in 6 months. I hope she does make a full recovery as she is such a lovely friendly mare. Ann's Emerald Reel is turned out in the paddocks with the resent 4 times winner Peltwell and a recently arrived filly. All well rugged up. First Quest has come out of his recent Chepstow race very well. He did 3 hill gallops extending Shannon's arms. A very strong boy. He has 2 provisional entries, 10th May at Southwell, 1950 race a Class 4, 0-110 Handicap Hurdle, over a distance of 2 mile 4 furlongs. Second entry 23rd May at Fakenham, in the 1610 race a Class 4, 0-110 Handicap Hurdle, over a distance of 2 mile. He will get into both of his new handicap mark of 109. Caroline's Charm looks a picture and is going very well, he also did 3 hill gallops. He has an entry at Fontwell, on 30th April, in the 1610 race, a Class 3, 0-130 Handicap Chase, over a distance of 2 mile 2 furlongs. He is a Course and Distance winner. Test Ride has come out of his Salisbury race well. In the race he was blocked off when he was about to make his run. As he had no chance of getting in the prize money, Sean let him come home in his own time. He went up the hill only once as he only ran 3 days ago. He has an entry, back over hurdles at Newton Abbot, on 12th May in the 1520 race, it is a 0-105 Novice Handicap Hurdle over a distance of 2 mile 2 furlongs and 170 yards. Glenview Beauty continues to please coming up the hill 3 times with Caroline's Charm. She will go out to grass next week, returning with Ann's Emerald Reel on 1st July.
