What a cracking buy

We completed the purchase of Lightning Gold, a 7-y-o chestnut mare, by Black Sam Bellamy out of Santera, a black type earning hurdler, who is in turn a sibling of the listed-placed French Cross Country performer Goldgig. The next generation of the family is replete with stakes performers under both codes.

Lightning Gold is a good looking mare, who has taken to fences with enthusiasm and determination. Third at Leicester on heavy going on 1st March on her first chase, which she followed up, finishing a close second at Warwick on Thursday, 4 days after we bought her, exciting times ahead.
